Suicide Prevention Across the Lifespan, Undergraduate Microcredential
This microcredential offers the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in social work and related fields in working with client systems affected by suicide. A focus on human behavior in the social environment is first examined, followed by specific knowledge and skills on the epidemiology, assessment, and prevention of suicide across the lifespan.

This microcredential is available to any interested undergraduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In addition to taking SOC WRK 250: Human Behavior and the Social Environment and SOC WRK 591: Suicide Prevention: A Life Course Perspective, students would need to satisfy the prerequisite requirement for SOC WRK 250.
